European Golden League: 2025 title to Finland! Czech Republic defeated in four sets!

After a straight sets win in semifinal against Greece, Finland down Final Four hosts Czech Republic by 3-1 (24:26, 26:24, 25:15, 25:23) in Gran Finale at Brno’s Exhibition Centre.
With both teams heading into the final unbeaten, the home team came out strong, taking the first set 26–24. But when their star outside hitter Lukáš Vašina was forced off due to injury in the second set, Finland turned the tide, quickly taking the lead, leveling the match and gaining momentum.
From there, Finland dominated, led by Luka Marttila, top scorer of the match with 23 points through 42% in attack, 3 aces and 2 blocks, and MVP Joonas Jokela, who also contributed with 16 points through 50% in attack. Double digit also for Antti Ronkainen and Petteri Tyynismaa, who added 15 and 14 points respectively.
The Finnish squad tightened their defense and found their rhythm in attack, closing out the final two sets 25–15 and 25–23.
Earlier in the day, Israel took home bronze by beating Greece with the score of 1-3 (17:25, 25:23, 23:25, 21:25) thanks to standout efforts from Shay Mayo Liberman, absolute top scorer of the match with as many as 31 points through 58% in attack, 4 aces and 2 blocks, and Mark Rura who added 22.
