Poland: Round 16 continues. ZAKSA down Bełchatów, Chełm stun Lublin!

Round 16 of 2025/26 Plusliga continued today with other two games.
The day started with a 3-1 (19:25, 31:29, 25:21, 25:18) home win for ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle over PGE GiEK SKRA Bełchatów, with 19 points from MVP Rafał Szymura (57% in attack, 2 blocks and 5 of the winners’8 aces).
What was expected to be an easy night for Polish Cup winners Bogdanka LUK Lublin turned into a disappointing evening, as newcomers InPost ChKS Chełm left them with a bitter 1-3 (17:25, 25:20, 23:25, 27:29) victory.
Although lot of errors in both sides, there was a thrilling game. The hosts, playing just 48 hours after celebrating their Polish Cup triumph, shuffled their lineup, and the hosts never fully found their flow.
Chełm, meanwhile, played a very good game. Fighting to stay in the league, they took their chances, led by Remigiusz Kapica, author of 26 points, and MVP of the match, while Tomasz Piotrowski added solid support with 16 points.
For Lublin, Jakub Wachnik and Jackson Young led the way with 13 points each, while Hilir Henno tallied 11 and Daenan Gyimah finished with 10.
Round 16 will continue tomorrow with the clash between PGE Projekt Warszawa and JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel.
