Poland: Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie last semifinalist! ZAKSA eliminated in decisive Game 3

After surprisingly losing game 1 at home, and leveling the score winning in four sets on the field of No.8 in regular season ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie claimed their ticket to 2025/26 Plusliga Semifinals after a 3-1 (25:20, 25:22, 22:25, 25:16) home win in decisive Game 3 of best-of-three series.
Last season’s runners-up took control early, winning the first two sets without major problems. ZAKSA responded with a 22-25 third-set victory, but Zawiercie dominated the fourth set 25-16 to close the match.
Middle blocker Yuriy Gladyr earned MVP honors after scoring 17 points, while Bartosz Kwolek also added 17, and Kyle Russell and Mateusz Bieniek also contributed with 12 points each.
Kamil Rychlicki led ZAKSA with 17 points, but it was not enough to extend their playoff run.
Zawiercie will now face Asseco Resovia Rzeszów in the semifinals for a spot in the final.
