After a hard fought tie break win in Game 1 of 2025/26 Plusliga clash for 5th Place, No.5 in regular season Indykpol AZS Olstzyn boasted a 0-1 lead on the field of PGE GiEK SKRA Bełchatów and, just at one step from 5th Place, suffered the rivals’ comeback, 3-2 (22:25, 20:25, 25:18, 25:23, 15:11), to force the best-of-three series to decisive comeback on Monday.
Protagonist of the day Daniel Chiţigoi, who earned MVP honors with 16 points to his name through 41% in attack and 5 of the winners’ 7 aces. Double digit also for Bartłomiej Lemański, Mateusz Nowak and Zouhier El Graoui, who left the court also with 16 points apiece, and Antoine Pothron, who also contributed with 14. Jan Hadrava tallied 27 points for Olstzyn.
