The verdict in the Serie A2 Credem Banca is now official: Tinet Prata di Pordenone have been promoted to 2026/27 SuperLega!
With a commanding performance in Game 3, the Friulian side defeated Pineto 3-0 (25:17, 25:20, 25:17) on the road completing a dominant 3-0 sweep in the best-of-five Finals series after winning Game 1 away from home in four sets and claiming another 3-0 victory in Game 2 on their home court.
For the winners, who finished No. 3 in the regular season, it is a historic achievement reached at the end of an unbeaten Playoff run.
They first eliminated Lagonegro 2-0 in the quarterfinal series, then Brescia by the same scoreline in the semifinals, before overcoming Pineto in the decisive Finals.
For Abba Pineto, on the other hand, the curtain falls on what was nevertheless a memorable season, highlighted by victories in the Italian Cup and Supercoppa, as well as first place in the Regular Season standings.
Captain Nicolò Catalan scored the point that sealed the historic promotion at 25-17, while the Finals MVP award went to outside hitter Jernej Terpin, a symbol of a team that found its best form at the most crucial stage of the season, who also celebrated his 100th appearance for Tinet Prata di Pordenone in all Lega Pallavolo Serie A competitions.
Among the standout performers for the Friulian side was also Kristian Gamba, who recorded 14 points, including four aces.
