Poland: Argentina National Team opposite Pablo Kukartsev to Częstochowa

After setter Željko Ćorić, Plusliga side Norwid Częstochowa, relegated but again in Plusliga next season, welcomed opposite Pablo Kukartsev.
The experienced Argentine international spent last season with Italian giants Cucine Lube Civitanova, where he won the Italian league silver medal and competed at the highest European level in the CEV Champions League.

The 33-year-old player, born in Buenos Aires, is a well-known figure in international volleyball. Earlier in his career, he played in France, Belgium, Spain, Russia, and Argentina, winning trophies in almost every country where he played.
His achievements include the Belgian Championship, Belgian Cup, Belgian Super Cup, two Spanish Championships, the Spanish Cup, and the French Cup with Tourcoing, but he has also been an important member of the Argentine national team for many years. Representing his country, he won the South American Championship, among other achievements, also delivering an impressive performance during the 2025 Volleyball Nations League, in which he scored 129 points for Argentina.

The new Norwid opposite admitted that the opportunity to play in the Polish PlusLiga was especially appealing to him.

“PlusLiga has always seemed to me a very strong, competitive, and exciting league. When the opportunity came to join Norwid and play in Poland, the decision was very easy,” he said, also emphasizing that success depends on teamwork rather than individual talent alone.

“It doesn’t matter how strong or talented an individual player is — if you don’t play as a team and stay united during difficult moments, then it doesn’t matter which club you play for, because you will still lose. We have to be a team!”
