VNL2026: The 14 Americans selected for Week 1 in Ottawa

The United States has announced its 14-player roster for the opening week of 2026 Volleyball Nations League in Ottawa, Canada. Led by the return of Matt Anderson, the American squad will be aiming to improve on its 11th-place finish in 2025.
The United States will begin its campaign against Turkey before taking on Germany, Canada, and finally Italy in what promises to be a highly anticipated showdown to conclude the week.

Under the guidance of legendary coach Karch Kiraly, the squad relied heavily on young players making their first appearances at the highest international level. Since then, the group has gained valuable experience, highlighted by a quarterfinal appearance at the most recent World Championship and strong performances at club level. With Matt Anderson returning to the lineup, it will be interesting to see what this team can achieve in the upcoming campaign.
