If you wish to publish an Italian translation of this article, any of our other articles, or any part of them, please cite the original source. Plagiarism is illegal!

Even though we’re both busy with the VNL in Ljubljana, we decided to keep VolleyBar going this week as well (someone please help us!), despite the fact that today we’re covering no fewer than three matches, both from courtside and through our photography!
Speaking of photography, our good fortune is that photos cannot be plagiarized. They can be copied, of course, and that happens regularly, but photographs speak a different language and cannot simply be brutally translated into Italian.
Because yes, it happened again.
The article we published yesterday about the European League semifinals was translated into Italian and republished this morning.
And do you think the original source was credited? Absolutely not!
So the advice we’d like to give all our readers—whether it relates to our work, sports, volleyball, or anything else—is this: DON’T MAKE FOOLS OF YOURSELVES, and stop constantly copying what others do. Otherwise, you’ll never grow.
And above all, RESPECT OTHER PEOPLE AND THEIR WORK.

But perhaps it’s better to get back to volleyball, even though the day started badly for our work and promises to be a very demanding one here in Ljubljana.
In Poland, outside hitter Jakub SzymaƄski is returning to GKS Katowice.
The 28-year-old outside hitter will strengthen the team for the 2026/27 season. A graduate of the PZPS SMS in SpaƂa, he began his senior career with Buskowianka Kielce. He joined GKS Katowice ahead of the 2019/20 season and spent four years there, becoming one of the team’s key players.
His strong performances earned him a call-up to the Polish national team coached by Nikola Grbić in 2022, although he had to wait until the following year to make his official debut, which came during a Volleyball Nations League match in Nagoya.
Then he left GKS Katowice midway through the 2023/24 season after making 79 appearances in the club’s colours, moving on to ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-KoĆșle. He spent three seasons with ZAKSA, and will now represent GKS Katowice once again following the club’s return to the PlusLiga.

“We want GKS to compete in the PlusLiga at the highest possible level. That’s why we decided to strengthen our reception line with a player who is experienced at this level and already has an established reputation and sporting quality. We were also looking for someone with character and fighting spirit, as we want to reconnect with the best years of GKS in the PlusLiga. Jakub SzymaƄski perfectly fits these criteria. He already showed his best side in Katowice, and we are delighted to welcome him back. I hope his performances in our colours will bring plenty of joy to the fans at Arena Katowice,” said Jakub Bochenek, director of the volleyball section at GKS Katowice in official press release of the club.

Good news also for Asseco Resovia RzeszĂłw, who confirmed opposite Karol Butryn.

In Germany, Berlin Recycling Volleys finally announced Argentina National Team middle blocker Nicolas Zerba, last season in France, Arago de SĂšte.
About France and about middleblockers, Austrian MathÀus Jurkovics will join Plessis Robinson, and he will return France after wearing the jersey of Paris Volley from 2021 to 2024. He come from Menen, where he won one Belgian Cup and one Supercup.
Meanwhile, after a successful campaign with Paris Volley, Mauricio Motta Paes will start new season in Japan, as head coach of Tokyo Great Bears.

Meanwhile, italian powerhouse Sir Susa Vim Perugia announced French outside hitter Mathis Henno, who will make his debut in the Italian league.
He made his professional debut in the 2024/25 season with Chaumont VB 52, where he quickly stood out in the French Ligue A. In 2025, he moved to Poland to join Cuprum Stilon GorzĂłw, coached by his father, legendary former libero Hubert Henno. In March 2026, he left the Polish club ahead of schedule and finished the season with Paris Volley.

At just 21 years old, Mathis is fully aware of the great opportunity awaiting him in Perugia: “Yes, it’s my first time playing in this league. For me, it means that Perugia believes in me and, despite my young age, wants to invest in my potential,” he said.

“I know that Perugia is a team that wants to win every trophy, so my goal is to win everything we possibly can.”

In Perugia, he will share duties in the outside hitter position, alongside fellow young newcomer Matin Seyed Hosseini, with two world-class stars such as Oleh Plotnytskyi and Kamil Semeniuk—an invaluable opportunity to learn as much as possible.

We would also like to remind everyone that VNL action got underway today in Gliwice, Poland, where Ivan is reporting directly from the venue, and in Orléans, France, where Danilo is on site.
About France, started his path in 2022, today for italian expert Andrea Giani the game against Iran will be his 100th game at the helm of France National Team!
Fortunately, our passion and commitment cannot be translated into Italian. Unfortunately, what we write can.
