Polish Volleyball League (PLS) and TAURON Polska Energia have announced a landmark extension of their partnership, signing a new sponsorship agreement that will run through at least the end of the 2029/30 season. The deal represents the largest sponsorship commitment ever made by a single partner in the history of Polish professional volleyball.

The renewed agreement significantly expands a collaboration that began in 2020, with TAURON becoming the leading commercial partner across virtually every major domestic volleyball competition in Poland. The move reflects the continued growth of Polish volleyball, whose leagues are now widely regarded among the strongest and most prestigious in the world, attracting elite international players, record-breaking attendances, and steadily increasing television audiences.

Beginning with the upcoming 2026/27 season, all four of Poland’s top professional leagues will compete under the TAURON brand:

• TAURON Liga – formerly PlusLiga, the men’s top division.
• TAURON Liga Women – formerly TAURON Liga, the women’s top division.
• TAURON 1. Liga – formerly PLS 1. Liga, the men’s second division.
• TAURON 1. Liga Women – formerly the Women’s 1. Liga, the women’s second division.

The company’s naming rights will also continue to include the TAURON Polish Cup for both men’s and women’s competitions, while TAURON will serve as the Strategic Sponsor of the Polish Super Cup matches for both genders.

“This expanded partnership is a natural extension of the values we share,” said Grzegorz Lot, CEO of TAURON Polska Energia. “Volleyball is built on teamwork, cooperation, and the pursuit of common goals—the same principles that define our organization. It is one of Poland’s most beloved sports, and we want to remain close to the fans by supporting every major domestic competition.”

According to PLS President Artur Popko, the agreement is another milestone in the league’s long-term development strategy.

“When we first partnered with TAURON six years ago, we believed we could create a model for Polish sport. Today, that vision has become reality,” he said. “This agreement is not only a sign of our partner’s trust, but also confirmation that Polish league volleyball is enjoying the strongest period in its history. Our arenas are packed, TV audiences continue to grow, and our leagues attract many of the world’s best players. Bringing all of the country’s major professional competitions under one title sponsor creates a stronger and even more attractive product.”

The announcement comes as TAURON continues to strengthen its presence across Polish sport. In addition to volleyball, the energy company has expanded its investment in ice hockey, holds the naming rights to TAURON Arena KrakĂłw, supports youth sports and community initiatives, and sponsors several professional clubs.
