France: Cannes win derby against Nice in just three sets in advance of Round 15

Round 15 of 2025/26 Marmara Spike League started today, with the derby between Cannes and Nice, ended in just three sets, 3-0 (25:22, 25:23, 33:31), in favor of the home side, which in first leg also celebrated a victory on the field of the rivals.
The winners, who played a great game, rejecting Nice’s desperate attempts to re-open the game, above all in second and third sets, were led in score once again by Xander Ketrzynski, who left the court with 17 points through 43% in attack, 1 ace, 1 block as well as MVP honors, while Joao Noleto added 11 and both middle blockers Omar Biglino (73% in attack and 3 blocks, 6 points only in first set) and Jacob Ekman also contributed with 10 each.

Dawid Dulski (also replaced by Ethan Namboue) was the most prolific player of the game scoring 19 points for Nice, supported by Shay Liberman (decisive in his team’s comeback in third set from 16-12, 21-19 and then 24-24), who added 15.
With this result, Nice remain at 7th place with 20 points, at least temporarily, as Round 15 will be completed on Saturday, while Cannes reached eighth place, at -1 from today’s rivals.
