Coupe de France: Paris and Nice to final! Super favorites TOURS and Chaumont eliminated at tie break!
2 min read
What a night for French volleyball!
In Gran Finale of 2025/26 Coupe de France, Nice will face Paris!
Nice, who hadn’t won against Tours since 2016, 10 years ago!
Tours who boasted a 28-game winning streak before today’s match and, again, Nice that won at Tours’ Salle Grenon for first time in club’s history!
Both semifinals ended at tie break.
Paris, No.12 in Marmara Spike League, edged Chaumont in a tightly fought battle, winning 3-2 (23:25, 25:18, 28:26, 21:25, 15:13), claiming a ticket for the final (last one was in 2014!)
Tours, on the other hand, after a 2-0 lead, suffered the rivals’ comeback to lose the game 2-3 (25:21, 26:24, 23:25, 17:25, 13:15), despite 37 points from a great Nik Mujanovic (57% in attack and 3 blocks). MVP Dawid Dulski scored 25 points for the winners through 43% in attack, 2 aces and 3 block, but Nice made the difference also in blocking, scoring 15 points from this element (5 only from Lohan Nack Minyem) compared to the hosts’ 8.
For Nice this was second Final of Coupe de France in club’s history, and the first (and last) one was in 2023 in Paris, where they lost in just three sets against the same Tours!
