France: Montpellier and Cannes (new leader) win the big match, Cambrai defeats Tours, Poitiers and Narbonne ok

Round 11 of Ligue A was completed yesterday and without any postponement. Two the Saturday’s big matches: in the first, Montpellier defeated Tourcoing in straight sets, winning the match in all fundamentals: 52% vs. 40% in attack, 9 blocks to 7, and 5 aces to 1. MVP Panou, started from the bench, but author of 9 points with 70% in attack, 2 aces and 0 errors. For the guests, 16 points with 65% in attack and 3 blocks for Loser. Tourcoing then give the lead of the standings to Cannes which, in the other big match, won at the tie-break on the field of Chaumont. Another great game for Averill, MVP again with 22 points, 71% in attack (0 errors, 0 blocked), 4 blocks and 1 ace. In the other games, Poitiers defeated Nantes 3-0, taking advantage of Swan Ngapeth’s best performance of the season (MVP of the match).
Among the other results stands out the surprising 3-1 of the newcomers Cambrai on the field of the defending champions Tours. Close the picture 1-3 between Ajaccio and Narbonne, despite another good performance by Kolev (19 points, 2 aces and 3 winning blocks). Of note are the returns during the match of José Romero (still out Martinez Gion and Quesque) on one side and of Hirsch and Gueye on the other.
