France: Sète and Paris win advances of Round 18

Two advances valid for Round 18 of French Ligue A were played yesterday, in which Sète and Paris won in straight sets against Ajaccio and Nice respectively.
In the first match, convincing home victory for Sète, despite a combative Ajaccio, especially in part of the first set and in the third, in which the last-placed also wasted two set points (ended 28:26). Czech outside-hitter Kamil Baranek was deservedly awarded MVP of the match with 14 points and 62% in attack (with one winning block and 3 of Sète’s aces), while Robin Overbeeke was the only player in a double digit for Ajaccio with 14 points too, including one winning block and three aces.

On the other match, Nice suffered the 15th defeats in 18 matches, this time at home against Paris. With 14 points, Truhtchev was the top scorer of the match (with 1 ace, 1 winning block and 52% in attack), while good performances also for Rouzier and Gotsev with 13 points each, the latest with 6 winning blocks! Clere was the top scorer for the hosts with 12 points.
