Austria: Waldviertel defeat Amstetten to win Top Round!

Thanks to a 0-3 (22:25, 22:25 21:25) away win in the Lower Austria derby on the field of VCA Amstetten NÖ, Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel secured first place in the Austrian Volley League Top Round on Saturday evening.
In quarterfinals, they will face VBC TLC Weiz.
Due to the result in the Johann-Pölz-Halle, SK Zadruga Aich/Dob also knows their opponent in the first playoff round: VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt.
The other quarter-final duels have not yet been determined, as there are still four games on the program in the top round, with the last scheduled on March 8th.

Top scorers of the day were Milutin Pavicevic (18) and Aleksandar Veselinovic (16) for the hosts, and Marek Sulc (19) and Audrius Knasas (11) for the winners.

But there will be (at least) one more derby like this: on March 13, in fact, Union Waldviertel and Amstetten will fight in the final of Austrian Volley Cup in the Zwettl sports halle!
