Austria: regular season is over – Hartberg to second place, Amstetten fourth

On Sunday evening the Austrian Bundesliga’s regular season has been completed with the last two games of the Round 18.
TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg confirmed their great shape by beating also vice champion SK Zadruga Aich/Dob 3-1 (20:25, 26:24, 25:22, 25:19) in a big match and defended second place behind title favorite Hypo Tirol Volleyballteam.

VCA Amstetten NÖ defeated UVC Holding Graz 3-2 (25:14, 24:26, 23:25, 25:21, 15:13) in the Johann-Pölz-Halle, securing fourth place.
They ended the regular season with the same number of points as Aich/Dob and UVC McDonald’s Ried (5th).

With these results we know quarter-final duels:
• HYPO TIROL Volleyballteam (1) – UVC Holding Graz (8)
• TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg (2) – VBC TLC Weiz (7)
• SK Zadruga Aich/Dob (3) – Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel (6)
• VCA Amstetten NÖ (4) – UVC McDonald’s Ried (5).

Playoffs will start on March 4th, and the semi-finalists will be determined with a “Best-of-3” formula.
