Italy | Quarterfinals Game 3: Trento defeat Monza in four sets - 2-1 in the series!

In first Game 3 of SuperLega Credem Banca Playoff Quarterfinals played today, Itas Trentino secured a well-deserved 3-1 (22:25 25:18 25:19 25:19) home victory over Vero Volley Monza, taking a 2-1 lead in the series.

Bulgarian veteran Matey Kaziyski was once again decisive for the win, and he ended the game as top scorer with a strong performance and 21 points to his name including 5 aces and 3 winning blocks, and Alessandro Michieletto also contributed with 19 points.
Vlad Davyskiba scored 19 points for Monza, including 4 aces, while Stephen Maar added 14 points, but it was not enough to take the win, as their team suffered also the bad day of bomber Grozer, ended in the bench with only 6 points and 21% in attack (4/19, 3 errors and 3 blocked). He was replaced by Arthur Szwarc, who scored 8 points with a 53% success rate in attack.
Trentino had a slight edge in team statistics with 55 attacks, compared to Monza’s 49, and 9 block points, compared to Monza’s 6.
Both teams had 7 aces each, but Monza struggled with errors, committing a total of 26 against Trentino’s 19.

The next match of the series will take place on Sunday, April 2nd in Monza. The hosts will need to play a strong performance to stay alive in the playoffs, while Trento will seek to maintain their momentum and close out the series.
