Italy – Playoffs 5 Place – Taranto down Padova in third game of Preliminary Round

Third match of Preliminary Round of Playoffs for 5th Place (and the consequent ticket for 2023/24 CEV Challenge Cup) ha been played today.
After the disappointing performance against Top Volley Cisterna on Thursday, Gioiella Prisma Taranto return in the race with a great 3-0 (28:26, 25:22, 25:17) home win against Pallavolo Padova.
A results that is worth now a standings in which all three teams had 3 points, with a win and a defeat each.
Oleg Antonov ended the game as top scorer with 15 points to his name, while Aimone Alletti also contributed with 10 and was named MVP of the game.
Mathijs Desmet, the only player in double digit on the losing side, tallied 13 points.
