Coppa Italia: trophy to Perugia! Monza defeated in four sets!

In an electrifying sold-out event at Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno, Bologna, Sir Susa Vim Perugia clinched their fourth title in the history of club in Del MonteÂŽ Coppa Italia, overcoming Mint Vero Volley Monza with a stunning 3-1 victory. The final scores of the sets were 22:25, 25:21, 25:15, 25:23, following a great comeback after an initial setback.
In fact, despite losing the first set, Perugia reacted also thanks to notable performances by Oleh Plotnytskyi, who was crowned MVP of the event with 14 points through 38% in attack, 1 block and 2 aces, well supported by a very good Kamil Semeniuk, who added 18 points with 2 blocks and 59% in attack, Wassim Ben Tara (16 with 1 ace, 1 block and 56% in attack), and an almost perfect Flavio, who contributed with 14 through 92% in attack and 3 winning blocks.
The match began with Monzaâs Eric Loeppky leading an early advantage, but Perugia quickly regained control of the match. Arthur Szwarc, scoring 22 points through 59% in attack and 3 blocks, and Gianluca Galassi, with 12 points, 2 blocks and 4 aces, stood out for Monza.
However, their efforts were not enough to withstand the force of the rivals, who added their third trophy of the season so far, after Supercup and Club World Championship.
The second and third sets were dominated and won by Perugia while, in a nail-biting fourth set, Perugia initially fell behind but rallied back, with Sebastian SolĂŠâs serving turning the tide in their favor.
The match reached its climax when Wassim Ben Tara, despite suffering cramps, and Jesus Herrera led the team to secure the final points needed for victory.
The win also marked a significant achievement for Coach Lorenzetti, who celebrated his Coppa Italia third triumph!
9125 fans witnessed this thrilling match, which added another prestigious title to Sir Susa Vim Perugiaâs rich history in Italian volleyball.
