Italy: Verona and Piacenza started playoffs for 5th place with victories

Playoffs for 5th place of 2023/24 Superlega CredemBanca and a spot for next edition of CEV Challenge Cup started today with first two games.
In the derby of Veneto region, Rana Verona needed four sets to down Pallavolo Padova 3-1 (25:18, 25:18, 22:25, 25:21), with 26 points from top scorer Noumory Keita, while Gas Sales BluEnergy Piacenza won on the field of Cisterna Volley with the same result, 1-3 (21:25, 25:18, 15:25, 20:25).
First round will closed tomorrow with a classic of italian volleyball between Cucine Lube Civitanova, eliminated in quarterfinals Game 5 by Mint Vero Volley Monza, and Valsa Group Modena, only at eight place in final standings and eiminated in just three games by leaders Trentino Volley.
