Austria: Hypo Tirol win 12th Trophy! Hartberg defeated in decisive Game 4. 5th place for Graz, 7th for Sokol. Final for 3rd place 1-1

HYPO TIROL volleyball team is Champion of Austria again!
The Innsbruck team also won decisive Game 4 of Powerfusion VL Men final duel with TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg, confidently beating the East Styrian team with the score of 3-0 (25:21, 25:19, 25:19) in their home hall.
For HYPO TIROL it is the twelfth championship title, the second in a row, while for Hartberg it was the first final appearance.
The visiting side dominated already in first stage of the game in the once again very well attended Stadtwerke-Hartberg-Halle, served powerfully and scored several amazing attack.
Hartberg was initially unable to reply, but then they reacted, blocking strongly and staging a comeback to recover a 5-point deficit, also taking the lead 17:16. Unfortunately, HYPO TIROL middle blocker Nicolai Grabmüller injured his ankle and was replaced by Niklas Jeschko.
Despite the shocking moment, the Innsbruck team were the more determined team in the decisive phase of the first set.
In the second one, Hartberg was able to keep the lead untile 15:13 but then a service series from Jeschko gave the favorite a 21:16 lead.
HYPO TIROL also confidently closed this sentence, and they are unstoppable also in third set, which they dominated to close the game after just 85 minutes of play.
Top scorers of the day were Luan Weber, with 19 points and also named MVP of the final series, Arthur Nath and Niklas Kronthaler (14 each) for the winners, and Đorđe Knezevic, Lukas Glatz (14 each) and Matthias Glatz (5) for Hartberg.

SK Zadruga Aich/Dob down Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel 3-2 (25:17, 25:20, 22:25, 24:26, 15:10) in Game 2 of duel for bronze in their JUFA Arena Bleiburg.
This means that the decisive Game 3. of “Best-of-3” series will take place next Saturday in Zwettl.
Top scorers of th day were Angelos Mandilaris (29) and Noel Krassnig (20) for Aich/Dob, and for Waldviertel Mateusz Sniezek (15), Paul Nusterer and Yaroslav Horobets (10 each).
The duel for 5th place and the last European Cup ticket has been decided: UVC Holding Graz beat UVC McDonald’s Ried in their Raiffeisen Sportpark 3-0 (25:17, 25:21, 25:19), led by Lorenz Rössl (15) and Arwin Kopschar (12), while TJ Sokol V/Post SV Vienna took seventh place.
The team led by captain Florian Weikert celebrated a 3-1 (27:25, 22:25, 25:23, 25:21) home win against VCA Amstetten NÖ with 21 points from Jakub Kocvara and 19 from Boris Nikolic.
In relegation Round, UNIONvolleys Bisamberg-Hollabrunn celebrated a 3-1 (25:15, 26:28, 25:17, 25:23) home win over already relegated VBC TLC Weiz.
