Poland: Round 6 continues – great comeback for Resovia. Clear successes for Bełchatów and Warszawa

After three advances played yesterday, Round 6 of 2025/26 Plusliga continued today with other three games.
In Lublin, Asseco Resovia stayed unbeaten in competition so far after a thrilling 2-3 (25:20, 25:19, 23:25, 22:25, 13:15) comeback against Bogdanka LUK Lublin. The hosts took the first two sets, but Resovia’s resilience, especially with the impact of Klemen Cebulj, Yacine Louati, and Cezary Sapiński, turned the match around.
Karol Butryn led the charge with 27 points, while MVP Danny Demyanenko, who added 16, impressed with as well as 87% attack efficiency.
In Chełm, PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów comfortably sweep newcomers InPost ChKS Chełm 0-3 (19:25, 20:25, 15:25).
Despite many serve errors, the winners dominated in attack and block, with Arkadiusz Żakieta, who left the court with 14 points to his name, closely followed by Daniel Chitigoi, who added 13, and Antoine Pothron with 12 leading the charge. Setter Grzegorz Łomacz earned MVP honors.
In Warsaw, PGE Projekt Warszawa snapped their losing streak by sweeping Energa Trefl Gdańsk also in straight sets, 3-0 (33:31, 25:19, 25:22). After a tight opener, the team from country’s capital controlled the rest of the match, led by MVP Kevin Tillie, author of 11 points.
Round 6 will close tomorrow with the very interestingly clash between second-to-last Cuprum Stilon Gorzów and last-placed Ślepsk Malow Suwałki.
