Austria: Hartberg win the advance of Round 2. Klagenfurt defeated in straight sets!

With Round 1 started last week, 2023/24 Powerfusion Austrian Volley League continued today with the advance of Round 2.

TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg celebrated their second win in as many games of the season, with a great 3-0 (25:23, 25:16, 26:24) home success against VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt on Friday evening.
The top scorers of the game were Dmytro Fedorenko (19 points through 67% in attack) and Đorđe Knezevic (17), and Simon Frühbauer (11) and David Petschnig (9) on the losing side, but decisive also the 11 winning blocks (against 4 of the rivals).
Hartberg, who surprisingly closed last season at third place, have now six points in the current charts while Klagenfurt, who down in front of their home fans Weiz in Round 1 a week ago, remain with three points.

Other two Powerfusion VL duels are on the program on Saturday: VBC TLC Weiz will face super favorites and defending champion HYPO TIROL volleyball team, while SK Zadruga Aich/Dob will play at home against TJ Sokol V/Post SV Wien, both at 7 p.m.
VCA Amstetten NÖ will face UVC Holding Graz at their Johann-Pölz-Halle on Sunday afternoon (4:30 p.m.) while, always on Sunday, UVC McDonald’s Ried and Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel will face each other in the Raiffeisen Volleydome at 8:15 p.m.
