Poland: 3 points for Jastrzębski Węgiel, Olsztyn and Częstochowa on Sunday games of Round 15

Round 15 of 2024/25 Plusliga, last one of first leg, continued today with other three games.
Titleholders and current leaders Jastrzębski Węgiel takes the lead with a commanding win in a high-stakes clash on the field of last season’s runners up Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, 0-3 (22:25, 25:27, 22:25). The win secured their 13th success of the season and the top spot in the standings after the first round of the regular season. Tomasz Fornal shone as MVP with 15 points to his name, in a game in which his team dominated in attack and blocking (9-3).
Meanwhile, this was a historic night for Steam Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa, who stunned PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów 3-1 (24:26, 20:25, 25:21, 21:25), clinching their first-ever Polish Cup quarterfinal berth. Patrik Indra’s incredible 32 points earned him MVP honors, with his team excelling in blocking (11-5). Adding to the history, Norwid Częstochowa’s setter Łukasz Żygadło became the oldest player in PlusLiga history!
Indykpol AZS Olsztyn dominates Northern Derby against Trefl Gdańsk 3-0 (28:26, 25:17, 25:19), climbing back into playoff contention.
Strong performances from MVP Moritz Karlitzek, who left the court with 13 poins, and Jan Hadrava, who added 14, powered Olsztyn, who outperformed in serving (8-3) and blocking (10-1).
Round 15 will complete tomorrow with the last game between Nowak-Mosty MKS Będzin and Asseco Resovia Rzeszów.
