Luciano de Cecco makes history at 2025 FIVB World Championship!

Legendary 37-year-old setter Luciano de Cecco has definitely made history at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship in The Philippines, marking his sixth consecutive appearance in the tournament: a record no other player, male or female, has ever achieved!

In addition to his extraordinary longevity, this record highlights also his irreplaceable role with the jersey of Argentina national team.
But he didn’t just make history, as he also masterfully led Argentina into the Round of 16 thanks to his leadership and experience on the court, decisive to led his teammates through a hard group stage.

Now, Argentina is set for a thrilling showdown against Italy, a powerhouse in world of volleyball, scheduled tomorrow, Sunday, September 21, starting from 3.30pm (local time) in Pasay City.
