CVB52 Haute-Marne confirms that French international Daniel Iyegbekedo will ultimately not join the club for the 2026/2027 season.
Having committed to the CVB52 project with the ambition of continuing his development at the highest level, Iyegbekedo impressed with a series of outstanding performances for the French national team during the opening weeks of the Volleyball Nations League, and those displays prompted renewed interest from his former club.
Following discussions between the player, his former club and Chaumont, all parties have reached an agreement that will allow Daniel Iyegbekedo to pursue this new sporting opportunity.
This development also underlines Chaumont’s ability to attract some of the most promising young talents in French volleyball. The club reacted swiftly and is pleased to announce the signing of another French international prospect, Joris Seddik.
Only 20 years of age, also Seddik was part of the Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza squad during the 2025/2026 season, contributing to the Italian club’s CEV Cup triumph.
French club thanks Daniel Iyegbekedo for the professionalism shown throughout the process and wishes him every success in the next chapter of his career.
