Poland: Round 12 continues- 3 points for Warszawa, leaders Jastrzębski Węgiel and newcomers Częstochowa

In front of more than 2000 volleyball fans, Bartłomiej Bołądź ended the game as top scorer and MVP with 22 points to his name through 61% in attack including 1 ace and 1 block, while Artur Szalpuk also contributed with 15 (62% in attack, 1 ace and 1 block too). Bartosz Bednorz scored 19 points for the hosts, all in attack and with 68% efficiency, but he wasn’t enough against a great Warszawa who confirmed themselves among the top 3. Actually, for a couple of hours they were also to the top, at least until the second game of the day, in which leaders Jastrzębski Węgiel earned 3 points too after an easy 3-0 (25:17, 25:18, 25:19) win over Ślepsk Malow Suwałki.
In a game dominated from start to finish in all elements, setter Benjamin Toniutti was named MVP, while Tomasz Fornal ended the match as top scorer with 14 points to his name including 4 winning blocks, 1 ace and a super 82% in attack, well supported by Jurij Gladyr, who added 12 with 3 blocks, 2 aces and 78% in attack. Bartosz Filipiak was the most prolific player on the losing side with 14 points too.
Close the picture the third seasonal win of newcomers Exact Systems Hemarpol Częstochowa over a disappointing KGHM Cuprum Lubin, 3-1 (21:25, 25:21, 27:25, 26:24).
In a very nervous game lasted 145 minutes, a perfect Bartosz Schmidt was named MVP with 13 points through 93% in attack (13/14), while Damian Kogut and Rafał Sobański also contributed with 15 each, even if the most prolific player of the game was Jake Hanes in Lubin’s jersey, who scored 24 points (48% in attack with 1 ace and 1 block).
A victory that is worth the temporary 12th place for the winners, and the 14th for Cuprum Lubin.
Other three games of Round 12 are scheduled tomorrow: PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów will face Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, Indykpol AZS Olsztyn will welcome BOGDANKA LUK Lublin and, in the evening, PSG Stal Nysa will face Trefl Gdańsk.
