Poland: Other two games of Round 2 – first win for Resovia and Barkom

Round 2 of 2023/24 Plusliga continued today with other two games, waiting for the last one scheduled on Thursday, November 9 between Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie and newcomers Exact Systems Hemarpol Częstochowa. Tomorrow will start Round 3!
In the first one, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów celebrated the first win with a straight sets (21:25, 19:25, 21:25) win on the field of Ślepsk Malow Suwałki without major problems.
MVP and top scorer of the match U.S. National team member Tory Defalco, author of 22 points in just three sets, 4 of his team’s 8 aces, 3 blocks and 50% in attack, while champion of Europe with Poland National Team Jakub Kochanowski also contributed with 13 through 73% in attack, 3 blocks and 2 aces.
On the losing side Bartosz Filipiak closed the game as top scorer with 19 points to his name through 68% in attack.
Away (and first) win also for Barkom Każany Lwów, who needed five sets to defeat the hosts BOGDANKA LUK Lublin, 2-3 (21:25, 32:30, 25:15, 22:25, 13:15).
In an exciting clash, Vasyl Tupchii
made the difference with 27 points to his name, 49% in attack, 1 aces and 1 block, followed by Ilia Kovalov, Oleh Shevchenko and Mousse Gueye, in double digit too with 15, 14 and 11 points respectively, while Mateusz Malinowski had 24 points on the losing side (51% in attack).
