Poland: PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów down Trefl Gdańsk at tie break in Round 3

In a nail-biting clash, the visitors from Gdańsk faced their third consecutive away loss, each ending in a grueling tie-break, while Bełchatów celebrated their third win of the season.
MVP Amin Esmaeilnezhad led the winners with a standout performance, with as many as 31 points to his name including 1 ace and 63% in attack, followed by Ziga Stern and Łukasz Wiśniewski who added 14 points each. For Trefl Gdańsk, Jakub Jarosz scored 20 points, supported by Paweł Pietraszko’s 19 and Jakub Czerwiński’s 16.
The match saw Bełchatów dominate in blocking, with a 15-11 advantage, while the rivals excelled in serves with 7 aces to 4.
Round 3 will continue tomorrow with other three games: Asseco Resovia Rzeszów will welcome Supercup winners Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, GKS Katowice will face last season winners Jastrzębski Węgiel while, in the evening, Cuprum Stilon Gorzów will play against Ślepsk Malow Suwałki.
